Privacy Policy

Effective 11 September 2026

Daygist is a trip planner, built and operated by an independent developer based in Australia. This policy explains what information Daygist collects, why, and what your choices are. The short version: we collect only what the app needs to work, we show no ads, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

Daygist also counts visits, so we know how many people use it (see below). There is no advertising, and nothing that tracks you across other apps or websites.

Visit statistics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It uses no cookies and does not identify you: each visit records the page address (without any link parameters), the referring site, your approximate location (country and city), and your device type, operating system, and browser. Visitors are told apart by a temporary hash that is discarded after 24 hours, and we only ever see totals. It never sees your trips, notes, or anything else you add to Daygist.

Where it is stored

Your content is stored locally on your device, so the app works offline. When you are signed in, it is also synced to our cloud database, hosted by Supabase, so you can access it across devices and share trips with people you invite.

How we use it

Only to provide Daygist's features: saving your journal, syncing it across your devices, and sharing trips with collaborators you choose. We do not use your information for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers below.

Service providers

Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete account). This permanently removes your account and all associated content from our servers. You can also email us at hello@daygist.app and we will delete your data for you.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing us. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988, and we extend the same care to users everywhere.

Children

Daygist is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will be noted in the app.
